Residing in Boston where they first met, Kristen and Brendan sought an ideal New England location that would effortlessly accommodate guests from West Hampton, NY, and across New England. Their search for the perfect venue led them to Newport, RI, a destination steeped in nautical charm and historical elegance. The picturesque coastline of Castle Hill Inn served as the perfect backdrop for their wedding ceremony and reception, providing a stunning environment to create lasting memories with their closest friends and family.
The wedding design unfolded seamlessly, featuring an airy color palette that harmonized with the coastal surroundings. Against the backdrop of Newport Harbor on the inn’s lush lawn, the outdoor ceremony exuded a crisp and classic ambiance, adorned with monochromatic white flowers in various styles and textures.
As the celebration began, guests transitioned to a captivating cocktail hour enriched with layers of organic texture. Greenery, lattice, and rattan intricately wove their way through various design elements, capturing the essence of the outdoor setting.
The reception elegantly combined classic and unexpected elements, with dinner tables dressed in textured soft grey linen, silver rim china, crystal, and an abundance of candlelight. Exposed branches highlighted the natural surroundings, while a rattan stationery design harmoniously connected tabletop items with the lanterns suspended overhead.
Every detail was meticulously curated, from ensuring the cake design mirrored the floral applique on the head table linen to the custom-built escort display inspired by the Chalet building on the property (and painted to match!). This celebration was a testament to the couple’s dedication, where no detail was overlooked. Cheers to Kristen and Brendan, a beautiful couple whose wedding was as timeless as the coastal beauty enveloping them.
“To put it simply, Lauren was a true lifesaver, both throughout the planning process and on the day-of the wedding. It can be so overwhelming knowing where to start and she does an amazing job making recommendations based on your style, vision, and budget. On the day-of our wedding, Hurricane Lee was making Landfall in New England. The contingency tent could not go up for safety reasons which caused us to pivot on several previously planned elements during our wedding day. Recommendations on ceremony length, cocktail hour locations, prioritizing a reception reveal – and many other items I’m sure I am unaware of because Lauren and her team managed every single adjustment, allowing my husband and I a stress-free day which would not have been possible without her..”
